Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Big Thunder different to other motor sport experiences?
We pride ourselves on being flexible and can tailor an event to suit your requirements. Our event programmes are also designed to maximise your driving time in our vehicles, with the freedom to drive at a pace that suits you.
Restrictions
Weight: 18 stone
Height: 6’4
Above these limits it may still be possible for guests to drive the vehicles but it is likely that your experience will be compromised to some extent.
Guests under 21 years old
Guests at or below this age may still be accommodated on a Big Thunder Event, although certain requirements must be met. Please contact us for further details.
Driving Licences
Guests will be required to produce a current valid driving licence at registration. Later photo licences comprise of two parts and both parts will be required.
What do I need to wear?
To make the most of your day with us, comfortable clothing is recommended. Trainers are the best footwear and a waterproof coat is advised for the English winter. We strongly recommend that clients do not wear high heels or large boots as they will struggle to drive some of the vehicles.
You are more than welcome to bring your own helmet, gloves and boots if you have them. However Big Thunder Events does provide helmets, dry or wet overalls and gloves should you need them.
Catering
All catering is included in the event packages, unless otherwise stated.
Breakfast rolls, a 2-course buffet lunch and hot and cold refreshments at the activity locations will be provided.
Alcohol
Large quantities of alcohol the night before are not advised. Big Thunder staff have the right to stop any guest from driving should they feel they are under the influence of alcohol.
Can I fly into Bruntingthorpe?
Yes. However, you must have prior permission so please contact us on 0116 279 9300
